Biography

Dr. Wan is the Chief Scientist of Chinese Society for Urban Studies National Smart City Joint Lab MOHURD (Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the PRC).
He studied in Japan from 1996 and got his Doctor Degree at Kobe University. He was mainly engaged in spatial information technology, artificial intelligence, technology of the Internet of Things, Urban science.
He was the director of the overseas division in Japan Dawn Group, a researcher in Kobe University, and received award of Grants for “Aid for Young Scientists (B)” by the Japanese Ministry of Education.
He is also a member of expert of International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T), an adjunct professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications; a visiting lecturer of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Executive Chief Editor of “Smart City”, and “Modern Smart City” Magazine, a member of expert committees of National Expert Committee on Smart City of China; and one of the core research and management experts of China Smart City.
